Nora Murphy

Experience

Nora joined Plave Koch as an associate in May 2021. She previously focused her practice on family law matters, as well as other litigation matters, with a mid-sized firm in central Maryland. Prior to entering private practice, Nora served as the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Susan Souder in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, Maryland for two years. 

Nora’s practice is focused on advising business owners on legal requirements and issues as they develop a franchise system, drafting franchise and other agreements for the franchise relationship, preparing disclosure documents required by federal, state, and foreign laws, coordinating annual franchise registration filings, counseling franchisors in managing relationships with their franchisees, and providing support to representation of franchisors in disputes with existing and former franchisees. In particular, Nora enjoys drafting clear and practical agreements, performing legal research, and maintaining a strong attention to detail on behalf of her clients.
